  • Tumor-on-a-chip technology

The tumor-on-a-chip is a microbioreactor. Human tumor cells grow in it as tumoroids and thus enable the testing of various drugs and their influence on the growth of the tumor cells. For further information about this new technology, please contact:

  • Tumoroid platform

Pre-clinical cancer models provide a platform to study tumor biology, discover biomarkers, test potential therapies, develop personalized medicine approaches, investigate resistance mechanisms, and potentially reduce the reliance on animal testing. In the Laboratory of Radiobiology & Experimental Radiation Oncology , we have developed pre-clinical models - such as ex vivo tissue slice cultures, tumoroids and patient-derived organoids - for tumors of the breast, pancreas, prostate, head & neck and brain.
